Soldeu Ski Holidays

Soldeu is probably Andorra’s best known resort and nearby El Tarter is only a short bus ride away. Soldeu has excellent standard accommodation, a friendly atmosphere, varied skiing, comprehensive lift system, including a high speed gondola from El Tarter. Both resorts have excellent ski schools with native English speaking instructors. The Grandvalira area now covers over 200kms of piste linked by an impressive state of the art lift system.

Soldeu is an attractive, traditional, stone clad village with excellent facilities for families. El Tarter is a superb village in its own right and has a more relaxed atmosphere. With the glorious sunshine together with the lively après ski and reasonably priced food and drinks, Soldeu, El Tarter and nearby Canillo make an ideal choice for a fun-filled, great value ski holiday.

Soldeu - Ski Resort Information

Après Ski: There is no shortage of live music in Soldeu. There are many excellent informal lively bars and discos to choose from. Try the Aspen Bar, Pub Iceberg, Avalanche, Pussycat, Capitol, Piccadilly Bar and Fat Alberts.

Activities: Soldeu has a superb sports centre with ice-skating, indoor swimming-pool & squash (located in Canillo, 10 minutes’ bus ride away), torchlight descents are a romantic option and we recommend a visit to Caldea Thermal Baths.

Eating Out: Soldeu is reasonably priced and good value for money, many places are hotel based. Recommended are Fat Alberts, Solineu, Pizzeria Fontanella and Cort Popaire.

Other Amenities: Andorra is a duty-free haven and its capital - Andorra la Vella (only half an hour away by coach) offers great deals on low-priced electrical goods, perfume, spirits and ski equipment.
