Les Gets village has an appealing mixture of old chalets in distinctive Savoyard style and tasteful modern buildings, which blend to create a charm and character not always found in French resorts. A friendly, pretty and characterful resort, it retains its traditional charm, with original buildings and chalet-style new builds sitting side-by-side. The village has lots of reasonably priced shops, bars and restaurants. The high altitude ski range of the fabulous Portes du Soleil is excellent for any ski holiday, and for families, there are plenty of non-skiing activities to keep everyone occupied. The resort offers both a nursery for very young children and a ski kindergarten for older ones. Most of the resort facilities are close to the main lift station and there's a free ski bus for getting around the village or over to nearby Morzine.
