Ylläs combines all the ingredients necessary for a perfect Lapland experience and perfect for a family Winter break. Guests return year after year to enjoy its stunning unspoiled natural scenery. It is made up of two villages of Ylläsjärvi and Akäslompolo, both unassuming in nature but host a range of local bars and restaurants and a regular free ski bus to the lifts (free with the lift pass). The ski area in Ylläs is the largest in Finland and has floodlit skiing to extend the days. As well as down-hill skiing, there are 330kms of cross country trails (35kms floodlit).
