Val D'Isere Ski Holidays

Considered by many to be the world’s premier ski resort, Val d’Isère offers some of the best skiing anywhere together with exciting and lively après ski. Together with Tignes, it forms part of the fantastic Espace Killy region with 300 kms of runs, particularly suited to intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders.

The village dates back to the 13th century and the resort comprises La Daille, Val D'Isere centre and Le Fornet. La Daille provides easy access to the skiing whilst Val D'Isere centre has a true alpine village feel. With lots of walks, shops, a sports centre and great night-life, the resort has plenty for everyone.

Après Ski: Val D'Isere nightlife is lively right through to the early hours, there are lots of bars, many with happy hours and then muisc and dancing later on. The Folie Douce on the slopes is lively late afternoon, later try the Moris pub for live music or the Saloon bar. The Pacific has sports TV and the famous Dick's Tea bar is the place to be later on.

Activities: Ice skating, skidoo riding, indoor swimming-pool (free with 7-21 day lift-pass), fitness centre with English tuition, parapenting, ice climbing, skibiking.

Eating Out: There are around 70 restaurants in Val D'Isere across all categories. At the top end, La Becca, the Grande Ourse and the Table de l'Ours are recommended but there are plenty of mid-priced places like the Taverne d'Alsace, the Casserole, La Ferme d'Androit, the Lodge or Gourmandine. Chez Paolo is great for pizza.
